so I am done with my last class of the day and I am starvinggg!!!! call my soon-to-be cousin-in-law back, we decide to get Mcalister’s for lunchh! I get there, we order. we walk to a table and I go to the restroom to empty my bladder. as I am walking to the back of the restaurant, I pass a man who seems to be jotting something down on a piece of paper of some sort. I keep walking. pass by some Baylor girls who are chatting away in their t-shirts, pony tails, and Nike shorts. enter the restroom. do about my business. wash hands. normal procedures… then walk out. pass Baylor girls. walk. pass man with pen, book, and food. sit. talk. joke. laugh. cry. laugh. eat. laugh. laugh. like i said, normal procedures… in the middle of a convo, i notice the man with the pen walking up to our table. he asks if we would mind to do him a favor. for 20 bucks. me; broke. I say yess! he needs help activating a phone. of course, I am a genius with phones!… so he sits down and I grab the phone from him, get the pamphlet from MetroPCS as well… read. read. read. then I try and call from his phone to activate the card. the call doesn’t go through. so I come up with a bright idea… call my own phone from his. oh wait, he has no minutes… so then I read some more and I find a wayy! call the *228, get connected with customer service. lady asks me about the name on the account; he points to the name written down… Lorrie *******. I kinda want to laugh cause i suppose his name is a bit girly… then they ask for a code that will be easy to remember; he writes down 55555555…. weird. but okay, whatever floats his boat! then the lady asks which plan he would like to use, i say $40 one. she says it has to be either $50 or $60, so we aren’t able to finish the procedure. I hang up and explain to him what to do once he returns to Wally World to either buy a $10 card. he thanks us. hands over the $20. then starts laughing. we ask why? he says; “what goes around, comes around!” I glance at her, and I smile back at him. he finally gets up after the awkward moment ends. we ask for his name as he shakes our hands. “Matt.” “Matt what?” “Just Matt.” walks to the door, giggling and content. so now, idk if i should have helped him or not…
